A few tips for startup… Please read the top 10
1)Entrance is locked automatically at 18.00- please do not ring the bell- you will be let in either by folk leaving or a door vakt- try to arrive in good time especially those arriving after 18.00 CAN I ASK EVERYONE TO ASSIST IN HELPING FOLK IN AND OUT- IF THERE ARE PARENTS WHO WISH TO SIT UPSTAIRS IN A COOL ENVIRONMENT – PLEASE DO SO 🙂
2)Please can I ask everyone to study the map of where the pool is. Nb the entrance in in the court yard through the double doors that are straight ahead when you have the restaurant/cafe on your left
When you enter the building turn left, walk to the end of the lounge area and take the stairs down to the basement (to the left of the fireplace)- turn right at the bottom of the stairs– go through the door- The swim hall is on your right- hang your coat and leave shoes outside the door. (neatly;)
If you intend to watch the lesson… please dress for warm weather as it is ca 32 degrees in the pool hall.
3)Changingroom Matters
Please leave the place as tidy as possible… remember to hang your stuff up and that there will be others sharing the changingrooms with you whilst you are in the pool.
Please shower before swimming – and leave the showers/changingrooms as you would like to find them- We can not have cleaners in both men and ladies so I ask folk to help make them respectable- thanks to those who help pick up others trash and swipe the floors off etc.. it is really appreciated by those who swim at the end of the evening.
4)Do not leave valuables in the changing rooms- I suggest taking all valuables into the pool hall.
5)Please do not enter the pool when Steve says so – do not just follow the clock- as sometimes things are slightly delayed. If your kids will find it hard to be calm waiting I might suggest sitting upstairs and only coming down 10 minutes before your lesson.
6)As the pool is smaller.. I ask folk to get up punctually when the class is over. Steve may set out the later classes by 5 minutes if this is needed- wait for his signal.
7)As the pool is smaller I as folk to consider that more adults = less place for the kids. With the older children ca 5 years plus… we are working towards independence and structured lessons where children are taught by Steve as teacher, who is assisted by up to 4 adults. I would encourage parents to take turns assisting- but also consider what is best for your child. I really appreciate parents bringing their swimmers and being willing to help as I need 3-4 helpers.
8)Please observe the pool rules
- No running
- No entry without Steves all clear
- Please get up punctually
- No eating in pool area
- No diving without Steves supervision
- No pushing or dangerous play
9) swimming is the same as school and barnehage- if your child is not well the same rules apply
10)Please follow the TDS rules regarding payment- see registration contract and fees info.
